Handwriting VEC's by Pen
In VEC, handwriting is synonymous with "pen calligraphy." For many artists, handwriting is a great choice for practice, as each stroke needs to be planned for consistent and careful execution. Handwriting is also very convenient, as it requires only a writing utensil such as a felt tip pen, and a piece of paper. So on this page, you will see examples on how to create VEC handwriting.

VEC Text Formats
VEC's can be written both horizontally and vertically. This gives the artist freedom to cater VEC's to their own tastes and stylistic preferences.
1. Horizontal Format
In this example, the VEC text is arranged from left to right in horizontal rows. Successive rows are sequenced from top to bottom in the same way as a regular English print.
2. Vertical Format
VEC text can also be arranged vertically from top to bottom under a single column. Successive columns will be displayed from right to left. This format may be more convenient to read since the words (characters) are rotated 90 degree CCW. Please refer to the sample illustrated below.
